Macquarie Group is seeking an investment professional for its Transportation Infrastructure Investment team in New York. You will lead financial modelling, analysis and due diligence on new opportunities, working with senior leaders to drive value.

You will partner with portfolio company management, participate in board meetings to shape strategy and oversee performance. This role offers exposure to global infrastructure investing and strong career growth prospects.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years of experience in M&A or direct investing.
• Infrastructure or infrastructure-adjacent sector preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree in finance, economics or mathematics.

We are looking for individuals like you who are interested in transitioning into a private equity role, starting in 2027. As an investment professional in our Transportation Infrastructure Investment team, you will work with the fund’s senior leadership on the sourcing and execution of new investment opportunities and will have primary responsibility over the financial modelling, analysis, and diligence of companies.

Additionally, you will work directly with existing portfolio company management and participate in board meetings to set strategy, oversee execution of business plans, and manage performance for our portfolio companies. The infrastructure landscape is evolving rapidly and presents a variety of attractive investment opportunities for our funds and a dynamic array of opportunities for career and skill development.

What you offer

• 1-2 years of experience in a M&A or direct investing role
• Experience within an infrastructure or infrastructure adjacent sector is preferred
• Bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, or mathematics
• Strong experience with Microsoft Office applications, financial modelling and AI
• An understanding of financial statements, accounting, and finance
• Strong analytical, technical, interpersonal, and commercial skills with an entrepreneurial approach
• Highly motivated to learn, drive performance improvement and create shareholder value in new and existing investments

Salary range for this position: $130,000 - $175,000/Year. Actual base salary may vary based upon, but not limited to, relevant experience, time in role, peer and market data, prior performance, business sector, and geographic location.
