Cardinal Health is seeking a Revenue Cycle Management specialist to join the US-based team. The role focuses on submitting billing data, appealing denials, and ensuring accurate claims processing across the revenue cycle.

The position supports both independent work and collaboration within a team and offers remote hours aligned with EST. The ideal candidate will have experience in RCM, strong Excel skills, and familiarity with ICD-10 coding, along with excellent problem-solving and communication

Qualifications

• HS, GED, or bachelor’s in business-related field preferred.
• 2+ years of Revenue Cycle Management experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
• Familiarity with ICD-10 coding.
• Able to multi-task and meet tight deadlines.
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
• Prior EdgePark and/or Cardinal Health at Home Customer Operations preferred.

What Revenue Cycle Management (RCM) contributes to Cardinal Health

Revenue Cycle Management team focuses on a series of clinical and administrative processes that healthcare providers utilize to capture, bill, and collect patient service revenue. The revenue cycle shadows the entire patient care journey and begins with patient appointment scheduling and ends when the patient’s account balance is zero.

Responsibilities

• Submitting medical documentation/billing data to insurance providers
• Researching and appealing denied and rejected claims
• Preparing, reviewing, and transmitting claims using billing software including electronic and paper claim processing
• Following up on unpaid claims within standard billing cycle time frame
• Calling insurance companies regarding any discrepancy in payment if necessary
• Reviewing insurance payments for accuracy and completeness

Qualifications

• HS, GED, bachelor’s degree in business related field preferred, or equivalent work experience preferred
• 2 + years’ experience within Revenue Cycle Management preferred
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within team environment
• Able to multi-task and meet tight deadlines
• Excellent problem-solving skills
• Strong communication skills
• Familiarity with ICD-10 coding
• Competent with computer systems, software and 10 key calculators
• Knowledge of medical terminology
• Prior EdgePark and/or Cardinal Health at Home Customer Operations preferred
