Job summary

Ideal candidates are analytical, detail-oriented, and comfortable working across financial, operational, and systems data.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Real Estate, Business, Economics, Accounting, or a related field.
  • 1-3+ years of experience in asset management, real estate finance, financial analysis, or a related analytical role.
  • Strong Excel and financial modeling skills.
  • Solid understanding of real estate financial concepts (NOI, cap rates, cash flow, budgeting, variance analysis).
  • Ability to synthesize complex data into clear, actionable insights.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor and analyze property and portfolio-level performance, including occupancy, revenue, NOI, expenses, and budget/actual variances.
  • Support the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual asset management reporting packages.
  • Assist with annual budgeting, reforecasting, and business plan updates for assets across the portfolio.
  • Track performance against underwriting assumptions and flag deviations for leadership review.
  • Support capital project tracking, including budgets, timelines, and return-on-investment analysis.

Role Summary

The Asset Management Analyst supports the performance monitoring, financial analysis, and reporting needs of the company's real estate portfolio. This role partners with Asset Management, Property Operations, and Finance to track property and portfolio performance against budget and underwriting, identify variances and risks, and provide leadership with the data and insights needed to make informed investment and operating decisions.

This is a highly cross-functional role suited to someone who is analytical, detail-oriented, and comfortable working across financial, operational, and systems data. The Analyst will play a key role in improving reporting quality, efficiency, and consistency across the portfolio.

Key Responsibilities

Portfolio Performance & Financial Analysis

  • Monitor and analyze property and portfolio-level performance, including occupancy, revenue, NOI, expenses, and budget/actual variances
  • Support the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual asset management reporting packages
  • Assist with annual budgeting, reforecasting, and business plan updates for assets across the portfolio
  • Track performance against underwriting assumptions and flag deviations for leadership review
  • Support capital project tracking, including budgets, timelines, and return-on-investment analysis

Reporting

  • Assist in the preparation of quarterly reports and asset-level summaries
  • Maintain consistent metric definitions and reporting standards across the portfolio
  • Support due diligence efforts for acquisitions, dispositions, and refinancing as needed

Data & Systems Management

  • Maintain and improve financial models, dashboards, and reporting templates
  • Partner with property management, accounting, and business intelligence teams to ensure data accuracy across systems
  • Identify opportunities to automate and streamline recurring reporting and data aggregation processes
  • Document reporting workflows and metric definitions to support consistency across teams

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Work closely with Property Management teams to understand operational drivers behind financial results
  • Support Marketing and Revenue Management with performance and ROI reporting as needed
  • Provide ad hoc analysis to support strategic initiatives across the organization
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Real Estate, Business, Economics, Accounting, or a related field
  • 1-3+ years of experience in asset management, real estate finance, financial analysis, or a related analytical role
  • Strong Excel and financial modeling skills
  • Solid understanding of real estate financial concepts (NOI, cap rates, cash flow, budgeting, variance analysis)
  • Ability to synthesize complex data into clear, actionable insights
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in a specific real estate asset class (multifamily, commercial, industrial, retail, or mixed-use)
  • Familiarity with property management or accounting systems (e.g., Yardi, MRI, RealPage, Entrata)
  • Experience with BI/visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau)
  • Exposure to acquisitions, dispositions, or capital markets processes
  • Prior experience supporting multi-site or institutional real estate portfolios
