The Analyst II at California Department of Justice supports the Case Management Section by designing databases, addressing complex business issues, and developing ProLaw-based solutions for reports and document templates.
The role includes collaboration with executive, legal, and budget staff, training staff on ProLaw processes, and providing internal and external client support. It is a 12-month limited-term full-time position with hybrid telework options and a standard 8:00 am–5:00 pm schedule.
The Analyst II acts independently or with a team to address database design, issues of concern, and business solutions for the application, ProLaw, its third-party word processor integrations such as Word, HotDocs and Cognos. The Analyst II performs a variety of complex tasks in support of the Business Intelligence and Document Automation Team that resides in the Case Management Section (CMS). The Analyst II will consult with executive, accounting and budget staff, legal division managers, and law practice section representatives and/or their clients to document business requirements and develop solutions using ProLaw and its integrated applications for the purpose of document and report development. The Analyst II will assist with developing job specific of training curriculum and will train processes and procedures using ProLaw and its integrated applications. The Analyst II will provide internal and external client support and services via the Case Management Section Reports Mailbox. The Analyst II will analyze the most complex issues and make recommendations to Supervisor I and/or lead and will implement decisions by Supervisor I and/or lead. The Analyst II will also develop and maintain the Attorney General Office's case-related ProLaw and HotDocs document templates.
