Job Purpose

The NE Gas Complex Contract Management team plays a critical role in supporting National Grid’s largest and most complex infrastructure projects. Our team provides commercial oversight, contract governance, risk management, cost control, and contractor performance management to help ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and with strong financial stewardship.

As a NE Gas Complex Contract Management Analyst, you will transform data into actionable insights that support strategic decision-making. Working alongside contract managers, project teams, and senior leaders, you will analyze contract performance, identify risks and opportunities, track key metrics, and help drive continuous improvement across a portfolio of high-value construction projects.

Key Accountabilities
  • Develop, maintain, and enhance dashboards, scorecards, data models, and reporting tools that provide visibility into contractor and contract performance to support the MA Gas Business.
  • Be a liaison between National Grid business areas and allocated contractors, supporting the contract execution process through analytics.
  • Continuously improve existing reports, automations, and tools based on feedback, adoption, and changing business needs
  • Assist with the future improvement to the definition and operation of effective financial controls and KPI metrics.
  • Partner with stakeholders to gather requirements, clarify needs, and deliver solutions that improve data usability and decision-making
  • Assist with the development and implementation of new end-to-end engineering procurement, and construction (EPC) process and enhancements to existing design-build Monthly Performance Review (MPR) process
About You
  • Bachelor's degree in a technical or analytical field OR in lieu of degree 3+ years of analytical experience required
  • 1+ years of experience using Power BI, Excel, and SQL for data analysis, reporting, or dashboard development required
  • 1+ years of experience developing reports, dashboards, KPI’s, or analytical solutions for business stakeholders and executive-level reporting required
  • Experience supporting construction, utility, engineering, contract management, procurement, or capital project organizations is strongly preferred
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex datasets, identify trends, risks, and improvement opportunities through quantitative analysis and communicate findings clearly
  • Exposure to AI and machine learning concepts or tools within a business setting preferred
  • A valid driver's license is required
More Information

$82,000 - $96,000 a year
