Job summary

Quest Diagnostics Incorporated is seeking an interface analyst to lead the end-to-end implementation and ongoing support of healthcare interfaces, including Epic Bridges and Cloverleaf HL7 engines. You will collaborate with clinical and IT teams to translate business needs into technical designs, analyze requirements, and drive issue triage to resolution.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years Epic build and support experience
  • Excellent attention to detail including verbal communication and documentation skills
  • Experience with messaging formats used in healthcare integration HL7, FHIR, EDI, CSV, XML etc
  • Healthcare industry experience

Responsibilities

  • Managing the entire implementation cycle of interfaces, web services, and industry-standard APIs (such as FHIR), including analysis, design, specification, implementation, go-live, and support
  • Working closely with application teams, subject matter experts, and third-party application experts to determine business needs, document requirements, and configure interfaces per the requirements
  • Reviewing, triaging, and resolving day-to-day interface errors, including coordinating with technical teams, application teams, and third-party system representatives as necessary
  • Identifying and escalating risks associated with technical project tasks and third-party systems
  • Coordinating interface-specific tasks and activities like testing, build, cutover planning, and go-live by engaging subject matter experts, vendors, server and networking teams, Epic Client System Administrators, and interface engine developers
  • Working with interface engine developers to develop data-translation strategies to support the needs of Epic and third-party systems
  • Providing proactive support by monitoring live interfaces and resolving issues
  • Responsible for performance, availability and scalability of all the applications and deliverables
  • Maintain the functional interfaces as it pertains to applications and infrastructure
  • Assist in planning, estimating, designing and ensuring customizations and integration components are designed to meet the business needs
  • Responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining interfaces between client’s information systems utilizing Cloverleaf HL7 engine
  • Responsible to work on error handling in Epic Bridges and Cloverleaf engine
  • Build relationships with end users and provide consistent, reliable support demonstrating a sense of urgency to resolve issues
  • Travel required: Domestic travel up to 15%
  • Domestic travel up to 15%

Job description

Bridges interface analysts are the primary contact for the interfaces they are assigned to implement and support. They coordinate analysis sessions to identify interface business needs, create technical designs, and own issue triage necessary to implement and support their assigned interfaces. They work closely with the interface project manager, application teams, and technical teams to ensure that interfaces meet the needs of end users.

Qualifications

Required Education
  • College degree in computer science, information science or equivalent work experience
Required Technical Training or Professional Licensing
  • Bridges certification required
