Job summary

Quest Diagnostics Incorporated seeks an Interface Analyst to own the end-to-end implementation and support of clinical interfaces, including HL7, FHIR, and related data conversions. You will coordinate analysis sessions, design specifications, and issue triage across Epic and third-party systems.

You will work with project managers and technical teams to ensure interface performance, availability, and scalability while maintaining strong end-user relationships and timely escalation when needed.

Qualifications

• 3+ years Epic build or related experience with data conversions.
• Excellent attention to detail including verbal communication and documentation skills.
• Experience with messaging formats used in healthcare integration HL7, FHIR, EDI, CSV, XML etc.
• Healthcare industry experience.

Responsibilities

• Manage the full implementation cycle of interfaces, web services and APIs including analysis, design, specification, implementation, go-live and support.
• Collaborate with application teams and third-party experts to determine business needs and document requirements.
• Review and resolve day-to-day interface errors, coordinating with stakeholders as needed.
• Identify and escalate risks associated with technical tasks and third-party systems.
• Coordinate interface testing, build, cutover planning and go-live with SMEs and engineering teams.
• Develop data-translation strategies with interface engine developers to support Epic and third-party systems.

Job Description

Bridges interface analysts are the primary contact for the interfaces they are assigned to implement and support. They coordinate analysis sessions to identify interface business needs, create technical designs, and own issue triage necessary to implement and support their assigned interfaces. They work closely with the interface project manager, application teams, and technical teams to ensure that interfaces meet the needs of end users.

Responsibilities:

• Managing the entire implementation cycle of interfaces, web services, and industry-standard APIs (such as FHIR), including analysis, design, specification, implementation, go-live, and support
• Working closely with application teams, subject matter experts, and third-party application experts to determine business needs, document requirements, and configure interfaces per the requirements. Partnering with these groups to diagnose and resolve interface-related issues and supporting ongoing application projects as needed
• Reviewing, triaging, and resolving day-to-day interface errors, including coordinating with technical teams, application teams, and third-party system representatives as necessary
• Identifying and escalating risks associated with technical project tasks and third-party systems
• Coordinating interface-specific tasks and activities like testing, build, cutover planning, and go-live by engaging subject matter experts, vendors, server and networking teams, Epic Client System Administrators, and interface engine developers
• Working with interface engine developers to develop data-translation strategies to support the needs of Epic and third-party systems
• Providing proactive support by monitoring live interfaces and resolving issues
• Responsible for performance, availability and scalability of all of applications and deliverables
• Maintain the functional interfaces as it pertains to applications and infrastructure
• Assist in planning, estimating, designing and ensuring customizations and integration components are designed to meet the business needs
• Responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining interfaces between client's information systems utilizing Cloverleaf HL7 engine
• Responsible to work on error handling in Epic Bridges and Cloverleaf engine
• Build relationships with end users and provide consistent, reliable support demonstrating a sense of urgency to resolve issues

Qualifications:

Required:

• 3+ years Epic build or related experience with data conversions.
• Excellent attention to detail including verbal communication and documentation skills
• Experience with messaging formats used in healthcare integration HL7, FHIR, EDI, CSV, XML etc
• Healthcare industry experience

Preferred:

• Experience in Laboratory/Diagnostics industry

Travel Required:

• Domestic travel up to 15%

Required Education:

• College degree in computer science, information science or equivalent work experience

Required Technical Training or Professional Licensing:

• Bridges certification required
