What you’ll do as a Benefits Analyst

• Administer all benefit programs, including health and welfare, retirement plans (e.g., 401k), wellness, and voluntary benefits.
• Manage the Paid Time Off (PTO) program, ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations, addressing employee inquiries, and maintaining data accuracy
• Serve as the primary contact for benefit inquiries, providing high-level customer service to HR leads, management, and employees. Partnering with the Sr. Benefits Analyst on complex inquiries and escalations to ensure quick, equitable, courteous resolution.
• Complete benefit billing and reconciliation, including auditing vendor invoices, processing payments, and coordinating payroll deductions
• Monitor and ensure timely completion and submission of all required regulatory filings and guidelines (e.g., ACA, ERISA, HIPAA, COBRA, DOL, IRS, 5500, non-discrimination testing), ensuring policy and communication compliance
• Administer and execute open enrollment and year-end activities, including employee communications, meetings, and processing enrollments through HRIS/Benefit systems
• Develop and maintain all benefit-related communications, materials, and process documentation, ensuring timely distribution of legally required information
• Analyze eligibility, participation, and utilization data for all benefit programs
• Manage benefit plans and participants across multiple subsidiaries and states, partnering with cross-functional teams

What you’ll need

• To be 18 years of age or older
• Authorization to work in the United States for this company
• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field
• 3+ years of equivalent experience
• Strong knowledge of benefits-related regulations, including ACA, 401k, IRS Code Section 125, ERISA, COBRA, HIPAA, FMLA, and ADA
• Strong interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and Google Suite
• Strong oral and written communication skills

Additional qualifications

• Experience with HRIS and Benefit Administration software is a plus

Physical abilities & exposures

• Routinely: Engage in standard office activities such as standing, sitting, and using computers for extended periods.

Occasionally: Travel domestically up to 10% to attend team meetings or training.
