You will partner with Audience Insights, Data Engineering, and stakeholders across Streaming, Content, Marketing, Operations, and Finance to deliver accurate, timely analytics.

You will drive dashboards and reports, track KPIs like viewership and engagement, and ensure data governance while adapting to evolving priorities to support company goals.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Analytics, Statistics, CS or related field.
  • 3–5 years of BI/data analytics experience extracting insights from complex datasets.
  • Experience with Looker, Power BI, Tableau; proficiency in SQL and data warehouses.

Responsibilities

  • Translate complex data into clear, actionable insights for multiple stakeholders.
  • Design, build, and manage dashboards tracking streaming performance and audience engagement.

Job Summary

Reporting to the VP of Audience Insights, this role partners closely with Audience Insights, Data Engineering, Consumer Technology, and stakeholders across Streaming, Content, Marketing, Operations, and Finance. The Analyst will translate business needs into structured reporting and insights, while ensuring data accuracy, consistency, and timeliness as well as proactively addressing the evolving priorities of stakeholders and aligning with company goals.

Enthusiastic about the evolving world of television and streaming, you enjoy uncovering insights from data to drive strategic decisions. In this position, you will be a key player in understanding how our subscribers engage with our content and the value it brings to our business. You will be a master storyteller, using data visualizations to paint a clear picture of content performance and platform health to provide actionable insights. Your attention to detail and data accuracy is second only to your organization and project management skills.

Key Responsibilities
  • Translate complex data into clear, actionable insights that inform various departments and business strategies, highlighting key takeaways, trends, and implications for content and platform performance.
  • Present insights through concise, compelling storytelling for both technical and non‑technical audiences.
  • Design, build, and manage cross‑platform reports and dashboards that track streaming performance and audience engagement, ensuring all outputs are accurate.
  • Define, track, and interpret KPIs such as viewership, engagement, retention, and conversion.
  • Deliver recurring and ad‑hoc analyses on content performance, audience behavior, acquisition, and churn.
  • Partner with Data Engineering to ensure reliable access to data pipelines, models, and source data.
  • Partner with cross‑functional stakeholders (Content, Marketing, Product, Distribution, Finance) to translate business needs into analytical solutions.
  • Maintain organized datasets, documentation, and reporting structures to support reliable analysis.
  • Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and governance through rigorous validation and QA.
  • Support metadata management and alignment of business definitions across reporting.
  • Document business requirements, workflows, and reporting logic with clarity and precision.
  • Manage priorities, timelines, and deliverables to produce high‑quality work on time.
  • Evaluate emerging AI and BI capabilities and identify opportunities to improve automation and efficiency.
  • Works well independently and collaboratively as a team; experience working with cross‑functional teams.
  • Seeks feedback to improve performance and strives continuously to build, especially around the key elements of the service including distributors, platforms, and content.

Proficient with Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel. Experience with cloud‑based data platforms (e.g., Snowflake, BigQuery, AWS) and database skills. Basic knowledge of statistical analysis, data science environments (e.g., Python), or other analytical tools. Familiarity with third‑party data and tools (e.g., Nielsen, Antenna+).

Education & Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Analytics, Consumer Research, Computer Science, Statistics, or related field.
  • 3‑5 years of experience in business intelligence, data analytics, or a related field, with a record of extracting insights from complex datasets.
  • Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Looker, Power BI, Tableau). Looker BI platform experience is a strong plus.
  • Proficiency in PowerPoint, Excel, and SQL and knowledge of data warehouse dialects and query optimization.
  • Experience with cloud‑based database platforms (e.g., Amazon Redshift, BigQuery).
  • Demonstrated strong attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy.
  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple projects in a structured, organized manner, meet deadlines, and align projects with business goals.
Preferred Experience
  • Media industry experience, especially with streaming services, subscription‑based businesses, OTT, or digital media platforms.
  • Basic knowledge of statistical analysis.
  • Ability to code in Python.
  • Familiarity with third‑party data and tools (e.g., Nielsen, Antenna+).
  • Familiarity with marketing technology tools (e.g., HubSpot, Meta, Google Ads).
  • Exposure to data governance, data quality, or metadata management practices.
  • Familiarity with Vibe Coding.
