Job summary

Talent 101 is seeking a Senior Precision Analog IC Layout Engineer for a 6-month onsite contract in Tucson, AZ. You will perform full-custom layout of high-precision analog and mixed-signal circuits, working closely with analog design engineers from schematic interpretation through physical verification and tapeout support.

Required experience includes strong analog IC layout skills, amplifier layouts, and device-matching techniques.

Position Overview

Talent 101 is seeking an experienced Senior Precision Analog IC Layout Engineer for a 6-month onsite contract in Tucson, Arizona. The engineer will perform full-custom layout of high-precision analog and mixed-signal circuitry and work closely with analog design engineers from schematic interpretation through physical verification and tapeout support.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform full-custom IC layout for precision analog and mixed-signal circuits.
• Develop layouts for precision amplifiers, operational amplifiers, matched resistor networks, capacitor arrays, voltage/current references, bias circuits, and related analog building blocks.
• Apply device-matching techniques including common-centroid structures, interdigitation, symmetry, dummy devices, guard rings, shielding, isolation, and parasitic minimization.
• Work with HPA9 and LBCSOI2, or comparable analog, high-voltage, BCD, SOI, or specialty semiconductor processes.
• Optimize layouts for electrical performance, matching, manufacturability, reliability, and area.
• Run, debug, and resolve DRC and LVS issues; support parasitic extraction and post-layout analysis.
• Collaborate with analog circuit designers on matching requirements, sensitive signal paths, current paths, noise concerns, routing, and layout-dependent effects.
• Support layout reviews, ECOs, verification, and final tapeout activities.

Required / Preferred Qualifications

Required

• Strong professional experience in analog IC layout, particularly precision analog circuitry.
• Hands-on layout experience with amplifiers or other high-performance analog circuits.
• Experience with matched resistor networks and capacitor arrays.
• Strong knowledge of device matching, parasitics, noise coupling, isolation, and precision analog layout practices.
• Experience achieving DRC/LVS-clean layouts.
• Ability to interpret analog schematics and work directly with analog circuit designers.
• Experience with Cadence Virtuoso or comparable custom IC layout tools.

Preferred

• Direct experience with the HPA9 and/or LBCSOI2 process.
• Experience with BCD, SOI, high-voltage, BiCMOS, or comparable specialty analog processes.
• Experience supporting precision analog products through tapeout.
• Background in signal-chain, power-management, data-converter, or related analog semiconductor products.
