Job summary

Lightmatter is hiring for an analog/mixed-signal design role in Mountain View, CA. You will work with architects and engineers to develop AMS solutions for optical and wireline systems, designing data converters, amplifiers, drivers, and more.

The role requires MS or PhD in Electrical Engineering or related field, with experience in analog/mixed-signal circuits and Cadence. Hybrid work arrangement and competitive compensation are offered.

Qualifications

• Experience designing analog and mixed-signal circuits.
• Solid understanding of CMOS device characteristics, noise, mismatch, linearity, and trade-offs.
• Experience with Cadence Design Environment.
• Experience in testing analog circuits in a lab environment.
• Ability to work collaboratively with people across multiple functional areas.

Responsibilities

• Design analog/mixed-signal circuits used in control loops and data converters.
• Support micro-architecture development with chip architects by feasibility studies.
• Collaborate with design teams to define electrical requirements.
• Document design simulations and verifications for design reviews.
• Drive block-level floorplan and mask design views and reviews.
• Run post-layout and mixed-signal top-level simulations to validate integration.
• Define production and bench-level test plans.
• Validate circuit performance in the lab.
