Job summary

Six Flags Corp is seeking a qualified Ride Mechanic in California to perform preventive maintenance, repairs, and overhauls on amusement park rides. The role requires troubleshooting, hydraulics, gearboxes, pneumatics, and millwright work, plus the ability to climb and inspect ride structures.

The ideal candidate will have a valid CA driver’s license, a high school diploma or GED, and vocational certifications.

Qualifications

Basic knowledge of the operational aspects of machinery components.

A basic set of hand tools.
Ability to work a variety of shifts, including weekends, nights, and holidays.
Ability to perform physical activities such as climbing, crawling, and lifting on ride structures.
Vocational or technical trade certifications.
English communication skills (reading, writing, speaking) and ability to keep accurate records.

Responsibilities

Perform preventive maintenance, repairs, and overhauls of amusement park rides and devices, and assist in other park repairs as needed by supervision.
Troubleshoot and perform general maintenance of mechanical devices and vehicles to ensure proper function and safety.
Work with hydraulics, gearboxes, pneumatics, conveyors and perform millwright work.
Climb/inspect track and ride structures for safety and reliability.
