Position details

This position reports to the Engineering Manager - AMR and involves acting as a design authority for an engineering discipline with low to medium complexity. Responsibilities include engineering design and deployment of AMR Fleet management software, building standard libraries, and developing new software interfaces.

Work model and location

The work model is hybrid, contributing to the Robotics & Discrete Automation/AMR business at our HQ in Auburn Hills, MI. Main stakeholders are internal and external customers.

Your responsibilities

1. Customer Focused: Collaborate with customers to shape and deliver solutions, seeking feedback for improvements.
2. On Time Delivery: Ensure project deliverables and tasks are completed on time and within budget.
3. Problem-Solving: Identify and resolve technical issues promptly to minimize downtime.
4. Collaboration: Work with other engineering disciplines to ensure system compatibility and functionality.
5. Communication: Document and present software designs to customers and teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Engineering or Computer Science.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in engineering, automation, robotics solutions development, or related fields.
• Willing to travel up to 50%, especially during initial training.
• Knowledge of C#, .NET, SQL Server, communication protocols with PLCs, SCADAs, MES, Kepware.
• Experience with Rockwell, Siemens PLC programming is preferred.
• Spanish language skills are a plus.
