Application Engineer (Remote - Nationwide Travel)

Join a dynamic and forward-thinking team as an Application Engineer supporting advanced automation solutions and robotics integration across diverse industries. This is a remote role, open to candidates located anywhere in the United States, provided they are within close proximity to a major airport. Expect to be on the road frequently, as this position involves extensive domestic travel to customer sites, often on a weekly basis.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver on-site technical support, installation, and commissioning of robotic automation systems.
• Collaborate with project managers, sales engineers, and product developers to define technical solutions.
• Conduct system diagnostics, troubleshooting, and field testing to ensure optimal system performance.
• Train clients on robot programming, system operation, and preventive maintenance.
• Serve as a key liaison between customers and internal engineering teams, ensuring clear communication and technical alignment.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience in industrial automation, robotics, or machine integration.
• Proficiency in robot programming (e.g., KUKA KRL, ABB RAPID, FANUC TP, etc.).
• Strong skills in PLC programming, motion control, and system integration.
• Ability and willingness to travel up to 80% across the U.S.
• Excellent communication, problem-solving, and customer-facing skills.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and U.S. work authorization.

Skills

• Familiarity with KUKA robots and automation software platforms.
• Experience with CAD tools, electrical schematics, and system layout design.
• Exposure to vision systems, safety systems, or industrial networking protocols.
