Job summary

Reliability & Performance Technologies (R&P) is seeking a junior marine/deck systems engineer to join our defense-focused team supporting the U.S. Navy’s Amphibious Warship design efforts.

The role emphasizes system safety engineering with a fast-paced environment. You will provide engineering support for concept studies, RFP reviews, risk assessments, and documentation, working with ship programs, contractors, and government customers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Naval Architecture, or System Safety.
• Minimum of 2 years professional experience in marine engineering or deck systems.
• Experience with codes and standards such as ABS NVR, OSHA, and NFPA.
• U.S. citizenship with ability to obtain DoD Secret security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Provide general engineering/technical support for concept studies, feasibility studies, independent design reviews, and shipboard installation support.
• Assist in development, review, and update of technical sections of the Navy RFPs.
• Perform Program Risk Assessments and Analyses including risk mitigation and monitoring.
• Provide comprehensive communications and reports to stakeholders.
• Research, draft, and review technical documentation for new ship procurements.
