Job summary

American Ordnance in Middletown, IA, is seeking a Production Operator to maintain production flow and uphold high-quality standards. You will assemble components, move items between stations, and ensure safety procedures are followed.

Stacks of training, PPE, and shift variation are expected as part of daily duties. The role requires a high school diploma or GED, a valid REAL ID, ability to lift 50 lbs, and successful background checks.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Must possess REAL ID-compliant driver’s license with star.
• Medical testing may be required.
• Lift up to 50 lbs on a consistent basis.
• Background screens and physical assessments completed.

Responsibilities

• Assemble inert and explosive components into rounds or subassemblies per safety and quality rules.
• Move materials through the production area and between stations.
• Inspect materials for defects and segregate non-conforming items.
• Stencil and pack completed items and load them for transport.
• Participate in training and follow safety/environmental protocols.
• Identify process improvements aligned with customer needs.
