Job summary

Freedom Munitions in Lewiston, ID is hiring a Machine Operator I, Loading to operate equipment on the production line, learn machine sounds and potential malfunctions, and produce quality ammunition safely.

No prior experience required; high school diploma or equivalent is acceptable. Training will be provided. Expect a long shift schedule and adherence to safety policies and environmental standards.

Qualifications

• Education: High School diploma or equivalent.
• Experience: None; willing to train.
• Must be able to pass background checks as required.

Responsibilities

• Understand the operation of the equipment used to assemble all the components required to make ammunition (casings, gunpowder, and lead bullet)
• Maintains a correct record-keeping system to ensure production efficiency meets company standards
• Understands the functions and processes for efficient operations.
• Performs start-up procedure for equipment
• Completes all duties and responsibilities following company safety and environmental policies.
• Communicate with machine technicians to determine needs.
• Maintains a safe and clean work area.
• Performs other duties as directed.
