Job summary

Winchester is seeking a Machine Specialist/Adjuster at the Lake City Army Ammunition Plant in Independence, MO. You will set up and operate high-speed production equipment, perform mechanical adjustments and repairs, and ensure parts meet specifications through visual inspections.

Qualifications

Must be at least 18 years old.
Basic working knowledge of mechanical systems and troubleshooting.
Experience operating mechanical production equipment preferred.
Ability to use power and non-power hand tools.
Must be able to stand for long periods and lift 30–40 lbs, push up to 1,000 lbs.

Responsibilities

Sets up and operates machines, performs mechanical adjustments and repairs production equipment.
Visual inspections of parts and components with gauges to ensure specifications.
Removes, installs and adjusts punches, dies, bolts, etc., using hand tools for proper alignment.
Pushes hand trucks and fills hoppers to keep machines supplied with materials.
