Job summary

Winchester Ammunition is hiring a Production Packer at the Lake City Army Ammunition Plant in Independence, MO. You will inspect, package, label, and prep ammunition for shipment, upholding strict quality and safety standards to support the U.S. Warfighter.

Starting pay is $20.60/hour with increases to $21.79 after 120 days. Weekend night diffs add $2.00/hour and weeknights add $0.70. Overtime up to 60 hours per week on multiple shifts is available.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Ability to pass a physical, drug screen, and background check.
• Prior full-time work experience preferred; manufacturing/industrial environment preferred.
• Able to stand for prolonged periods, lift up to 50 pounds, and push up to 100 pounds.
• Able and willing to work any shift, including overtime per union contract.

Responsibilities

• Sort, clean, inspect, and separate ammunition for packaging and shipment.
• Operate bandoleer filling, stamping, and other packaging equipment while monitoring quality.
• Visually inspect ammunition and components to ensure compliance with specs.
• Move materials using lift carts and dollies in a safe manner.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area following safety procedures.
