Job summary

Target Corporation is seeking an Engineering & Facilities Ammonia Technician to ensure high equipment availability. You will perform preventive and predictive maintenance, troubleshoot complex ammonia refrigeration systems, and collaborate with technicians and building leaders to optimize equipment performance.

You will train peers, perform Root Cause Analysis, and work with electrical/systems controls knowledge to keep critical assets running safely and efficiently.

Qualifications

• Excellent PC competency and ability to use mobile apps on handheld devices.
• Familiar with wiring diagrams, symbols and electrical measuring.
• Experience with preventive/predictive maintenance procedures for ammonia refrigeration systems.
• Blueprint and schematic reading.
• Work order management.
• Industrial electrical, controls and electronics; PLC programs.
• Knowledge of NEC, IIAR, RETA certifications.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and troubleshoot ammonia refrigeration equipment, incl. evaporators, compressors, condensers, vessels and piping.
• Participate in Target’s Process Safety Management (PSM) program.
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance.
• Repair or replace components and power/distribution systems up to 480V.
• Train Maintenance Technicians and assist with trainee development.
• Create and close Work Orders using mobile apps and asset management tools.
• Ensure safety procedures and PPE usage across the site.
