Job summary

Pilgrim’s is seeking a Refrigeration Technician in Enterprise, AL to support the operation, maintenance, and reliability of our ammonia refrigeration systems and to ensure equipment operates safely and efficiently for production and food safety standards.

The role requires troubleshooting skills, careful documentation, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team, with flexibility for weekends and overtime as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum of one year ammonia refrigeration or industrial maintenance experience required.
• Experience with A/C and D/C control systems; hydraulic and pneumatic systems preferred.

Responsibilities

• Monitor, inspect, and maintain refrigeration equipment to ensure safe and efficient operation.
• Identify equipment deficiencies and prepare work orders for necessary repairs and corrective actions.
• Maintain accurate Process Safety Management (PSM) records and documentation.
• Complete required reports and records in accordance with company policies and SOPs.
• Troubleshoot refrigeration system issues and assist in implementing corrective actions.
• Support compliance with safety, environmental, and operational requirements.
• Participate in preventative maintenance activities to improve equipment reliability and reduce downtime.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
