Job summary

Dreyer’s Grand Ice Cream is seeking a hands‑on technician to maintain and operate the ammonia and utility systems across the facility safely and efficiently. You will ensure equipment is available for production and respond to maintenance needs with precision.

The role requires troubleshooting, reading schematics, and adhering to GMP and food safety policies. You will document repairs, keep records, and work across shifts in a fast-paced, damp, cold environment.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• CIRO or CARO certification preferred.
• Hazmat certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and operate ammonia refrigeration and other facility utilities.
• Monitor equipment for maintenance needs and ensure production lines run efficiently.
• Perform preventive maintenance and replace worn parts; document repairs.
