Job summary

Nortera Foods Inc. is seeking a skilled technician to maintain and repair two-stage anhydrous ammonia refrigeration systems in North America. The role covers installation, diagnostics and overhauls across steam and cooling equipment.

The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with ammonia systems, understands blueprints, and can operate micrometers, calipers and multimeters. The position may involve overtime during peak seasons and requires safe handling of complex machinery.

Qualifications

Experience operating and repairing two-stage anhydrous ammonia refrigeration system.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints or schematics related to refrigeration systems.
Familiarity with mechanical and electrical testing equipment.
Comfort working in confined spaces and during peak seasonal overtime.

Responsibilities

Perform installation, maintenance and adjustments of associate equipment in the refrigeration cycle.
Recognize potential problems, worn parts and perform necessary repairs.
Overhaul of hydraulic pumps, relief valves, regulating valves, solenoids, filters and motors.
Fit and adjust drive chain/sprockets for drive units.
Assist with boiler operation and related water treatment duties.
