Job summary

Dreyer’s Grand Ice Cream is seeking a hands-on technician to maintain and operate ammonia and utility systems across the facility, ensuring production lines run smoothly and safely. You will perform preventive maintenance, document repairs, and support food safety standards.

The role emphasizes independent work with occasional team collaboration, strict adherence to GMP, and strong problem-solving to prevent downtime in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• CIRO or CARO certification preferred.
• Hazmat certification preferred.
• 5+ years ammonia refrigeration experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and operate the ammonia system and other utilities safely and efficiently.
• Monitor production lines to maximize efficiency and minimize waste.
• Perform preventive maintenance and replace worn parts.
• Keep accurate records of equipment repairs and parts.
• Ensure compliance with GMP and food safety policies.
