Job summary

Target is seeking an Engineering & Facilities Ammonia Technician to ensure high equipment availability through preventive and predictive maintenance, rapid troubleshooting, and collaboration with maintenance teams. You will validate work quality with outside contractors and assist with safety programs and Root Cause Analysis.

The role requires expertise in ammonia refrigeration systems, electrical controls, and process safety management, with opportunities to train others and lead in emergency

Qualifications

• Experience with ammonia refrigeration systems and preventative/predictive maintenance.
• Ability to read electrical schematics and diagrams.
• Familiar with safety procedures and PPE usage.
• CARO and/or CIRO certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and troubleshoot ammonia refrigeration equipment and electrical systems.
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on facility assets.
• Lead or train Maintenance Technician Trainees as needed.
• Collaborate with peers to develop emergency repair work plans and root cause analysis.
