Job summary

Pilgrim's is seeking an Ammonia Refrigeration Technician for the 3rd shift (5:00 p.m. – 5:30 a.m.) to maintain ammonia refrigeration systems and plant utilities, including boilers, air compressors, and HVAC.

The role emphasizes safe operation and compliance with PSM paperwork, with pay based on skills testing. The candidate will perform PMs on compressors, boilers, and related equipment, read schematics, and communicate production information to Maintenance Management.

Qualifications

• Strong electrical and mechanical troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to read and understand mechanical and electrical schematics and blueprints pertaining to plant ammonia systems.

Responsibilities

• Maintain refrigeration equipment and plant utilities (boilers, air compressors, pumps, motors, valves).
• Document repairs and daily activities, and maintain paperwork for the PSM program.
• Perform preventive maintenance on compressors, boilers, and related equipment.
• Communicate with Maintenance Management to provide production information.
• Keep work area neat and orderly and wear required PPE; follow safety guidelines.
• Be available for weekend/extra shift work.
