Dreyer’s Grand Ice Cream Inc. is seeking a hands-on maintenance technician to operate and maintain the ammonia and utility systems across the facility, ensuring production lines run safely and efficiently.

This role requires 5+ years of ammonia refrigeration experience, CIRO/CARO preferred, Hazmat preferred, and the ability to read schematics. Shifts, safety, and GMP compliance are essential in this fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Excellent interpersonal communication and problem-solving skills.
• Able to read schematics and troubleshoot components.

Responsibilities

• Ensure production lines function properly to increase efficiency and minimize waste.
• Monitor and evaluate equipment for needed maintenance.
• Address all utilities support calls in a timely manner.
• Work independently but collaborate with supervisors when needed.
• Keep work areas clean and GMP-compliant.
• Maintain records of equipment, repairs, and parts.
• Perform MTS inspections for Mechanical Integrity of Ammonia Systems.
• Perform IIAR 109 inspections for Ammonia System Equipment.
• Inspect and maintain all utilities systems and comply with regulatory requirements.
• Carry out preventive maintenance and replace worn parts with frequency feedback.
• Use observations to repair premature equipment failures.
• Sanitize parts and tools before use on the production floor.
