Job summary

CIBC is seeking a Production Support Engineer II in Chicago, IL to support the AML platform built on SAS Viya. The role features a hybrid work model with 2 days on-site and other days remote, requiring 1–2 years in bank-based application support and SQL expertise.

Azure experience and SAS Viya familiarity are preferred. The ideal candidate will manage Linux VMs, SQL queries, and production changes, collaborating with stakeholders while ensuring regulatory compliance and disaster recovery

Qualifications

Minimum 1–2 years of technical experience in application support within a bank.
Familiarity with Linux VMs and CLI, SQL queries, and cloud computing (Azure preferred).
Experience with SAS Viya and related certifications would be an asset.

Responsibilities

Application Support – investigate incidents; prioritize by impact; apply ITIL practices.
Database Support – write complex SQL queries and troubleshoot ETL pipelines.
Cloud Computing – manage Linux VMs and PostgreSQL on Microsoft Azure.
Release Management – oversee production changes and upgrades to SAS Viya AML platform.
Service Continuity – perform disaster recovery tests.
Collaboration – work with stakeholders and vendors; clear technical communication.
Continuous Learning – stay updated on technologies and regulatory developments.
