Job summary

NiSource is seeking a Manager of Advanced Metering Systems Operations in Columbus, OH. You will lead the operation and long-term management of AMI, MDMS, meter applications, and related technologies, ensuring timely meter reads and billing determinants alignment with schedules and customer needs.

You will oversee performance metrics, drive process standardization, coordinate with Finance, IT, Billing, Regulatory, and other stakeholders, and manage a team of employees and contractors to achieve

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience in a related field.
• 4–6 years experience in utility operations or related field.
• Experience leading teams and coordinating cross-functional projects.
• Knowledge of AMI, MDMS, meter-reading technologies, and related interfaces.

Responsibilities

• Lead the daily operation, performance, and long-term management of AMI, MDMS, and metering systems to ensure reliable meter-read delivery and data interfaces.
• Monitor system health, troubleshoot issues, escalate when needed, and implement remediation and process improvements.
• Oversee software/firmware changes, configuration, and equipment updates across AMI and Meter-to-Cash platforms.
• Develop and track operational metrics, drive continuous improvement, and ensure regulatory and financial controls.

Education

Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, Business, or related discipline
