Job summary

Southern California Edison is seeking an AMI 2.0 Advisor to shape and implement business processes for its transformative metering program in Pomona, CA. The role focuses on bridging business operations with IT capabilities to deliver reliable grid services and an enhanced customer experience.

You will lead cross-functional teams, capture requirements, and ensure alignment with new system capabilities while guiding analysts and presenting to stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Seven or more years of business operations and/or transformation experience.
• Business process design and requirements capture for large system implementations.
• Electric utility industry experience preferred.
• Advanced metering infrastructure experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develops and maintains relationships with key stakeholders to secure buy-in for fit-to-standard and custom solutions.
• Leads cross-functional teams to implement and integrate business software and systems.
• Leads implementation workshops and other forums to gather, synthesize, and validate information, ensuring a robust understanding of existing business processes and requirements.
• Identifies inefficiencies and bottlenecks and areas for improvement in procedures during implementation.
• Challenges the status quo and recommends practical solutions aligned with implementation goals.
• Analyzes and synthesizes data and process flows, presenting key findings to stakeholders.
• Designs and documents future state business processes and requirements that align with new system capabilities.
• Collaborates with technical team experts to enhance processes and oversees user integration testing.
• Builds relationships with leaders to achieve implementation objectives and supports executive presentations.
• Protects sensitive data and cybersecurity assets according to high standards of conduct and integrity.
