Job summary

MSU AmeriCorps Tutoring Program in Starkville, Mississippi is launching a targeted academic intervention with 40 AmeriCorps Volunteers to support MSU undergraduates. Volunteers will serve as tutors, delivering high-quality tutoring and gathering progress data while wearing the AmeriCorps logo.

Qualifications

• Eligible to serve with AmeriCorps and meet program requirements.
• Availability to commit to 09/01/2026–08/31/2027.
• Ability to work with undergraduate students.

Responsibilities

• Serve as academic tutors and prepare materials.
• Maintain accurate electronic records and data.
• Complete CRLA ITTPC and AmeriCorps training; attend education preparation classes.
• Wear AmeriCorps logo daily and manage schedules/timesheets.
• Support approved community service events as allowed by AmeriCorps.
