Job summary

Community Health Center, Inc is seeking an AmeriCorps Program Specialist to coordinate member development, recruit and onboard members, and support program design and evaluation. The role involves planning training, managing data, and collaborating with staff, partners, and vendors to ensure grant and program goals are met.

You will work closely with the AmeriCorps Program Director to plan, implement, and assess programs, develop materials, and ensure compliance with AmeriCorps standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; field related to health, social work, or public administration preferred.
• 1–3 years of work experience, preferably in health-related field or with project support.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills and ability to work with staff, members, vendors and community partners.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and internet-related applications, survey software, and database software.

Responsibilities

• Provide clerical, organizational, and technical support for AmeriCorps team and members.
• Support recruitment activities and help create social media and marketing materials.
• Assist Program Director with member recruitment, interviews, and applicant database.
• Assist in Pre-Service Orientation content, scheduling, and facilitation for new members.
• Develop and coordinate ongoing member development, retention, and Life After AmeriCorps activities.
• Plan monthly training opportunities for AmeriCorps Members with Program Director.
• Lead monthly team meetings including training and development activities.
• Establish relationships with community agencies for training and development and service opportunities.
• Collect and review data from members and generate trends for reporting and improvement.
• Assist with grant development, reporting, and planning with Program Director.
