Job summary

AmeriCorps & Senior Corps is seeking a Community Health Outreach and Recovery Support Member to expand outreach, promote preventive health services, and connect underserved community members with health and social supports in Wisconsin.

You will provide health education, assist with resource navigation, develop outreach materials, and help build partnerships to strengthen the clinic's reach and impact across the community.

Qualifications

• Experience in community health outreach or nonprofit settings preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills for diverse communities.
• Ability to organize, educate, and connect people with resources.

Responsibilities

• Provide health education, wellness promotion, and community outreach to promote preventive services.
• Assist community members in identifying needs and connecting with resources (food, transportation, housing, recovery).
• Support outreach to increase awareness and utilization of health and recovery resources.
• Provide education on substance use prevention and stigma reduction.
• Help participants access and navigate health and community resources.
• Develop and distribute outreach materials, resource guides, and educational content.
• Collect and organize service information to support evaluation and outreach improvement.
• Assist with volunteer engagement and partnerships to expand clinic reach.
