Job summary

AmeriCorps members will serve as Community Health Workers in free clinics, providing health and social services navigation and coaching to a caseload of clients. You will improve health outcomes by outreach, screening, and reducing barriers to care in a fast-paced, diverse environment. Program start 08/01/2026 - 07/31/2027.

Full-time schedule in SOUTH CAROLINA (Greenwood County). Accepting applications 07/21/2026–12/31/2026.

Qualifications

• Must reside in Greenwood County prior to program year.
• Computer literate and proficient.
• Ability to serve in a fast-paced, diverse environment.
• U.S. citizen, U.S. National, or lawful permanent resident; DACA recipients ineligible.
• SCFCA AmeriCorps CHW Program is AmeriCorps State and National (ASN).

Responsibilities

• Serve as CHW, manage caseload, deliver health coaching and navigation.
• Conduct outreach and reduce barriers to care.
