Job summary

AmeriCorps is seeking Community Health Workers to improve health outcomes through effective coaching and outreach in Greenville County, South Carolina. Applicants must reside in the area, and be U.S. citizens or lawful residents. The program includes training and a living allowance, and offers skills development in computer technology and communications.

This full-time position allows for working additional jobs during off hours and runs from August 2026 to July 2027, with applications accepted from June 2026 through December 2026.

Qualifications

• Applicants must reside in or will reside in Greenville County prior to the start of the program year.
• Applicants must be a U.S. citizen, U.S. National, or lawful permanent resident.
• Applicants should possess the ability to serve in a fast paced and diverse environment.

Responsibilities

• Assigned a caseload of clients responsible for improving health outcomes.
• Conduct outreach efforts and reduce barriers to care.
