Job summary

Hamilton Lane is seeking a seasoned Vice President of External Communications for the Americas to shape and execute our PR strategy across the region. You will partner with regional leadership to protect and elevate the firm’s reputation and ensure consistent messaging.

You will lead a team and agency partners, manage media relations, crisis response, and executive visibility on major announcements, with focus on collaboration across time zones. Limited travel may be involved to key markets.

Qualifications

• Must have 8+ years in public relations, corporate communications, or related field.
• Strong understanding of financial media landscape and reporter relationships.
• Proven track record leading strategic communications in complex, global orgs.

Responsibilities

• Strategic Leadership: Develop and lead the Americas PR strategy in alignment with regional/global initiatives.
• Media & Stakeholder Engagement: Build relationships with top-tier media; oversee media relations and crisis response.
• Content & Messaging Oversight: Guide press releases and ensure messaging consistency across markets.
• Monitoring, Insights & Risk Management: Track media trends and provide regular reporting on PR performance.
• Team & Agency Management: Lead and mentor teams and agency partners; manage budgets and timelines.
