Job summary

Southwest Search LLC is conducting a confidential search for a VP of Employee & Labor Relations to lead HR strategy across the Americas for a large, global organization. This is an executive opportunity for an experienced VP or a strong HR Director ready to take the next step in their career.

You will oversee employee relations, labor relations, and HR business partnering, with a focus on complex union negotiations and regional workforce strategy.

Qualifications

• Extensive HR leadership experience in a large, unionized organization.
• First-chair union contract negotiation experience, including economic and financial modeling, required.
• Experience supporting operations in South America, required.
• Strong background in employee relations, labor relations, and HR business partnering.
• Experience leveraging people analytics to improve engagement, retention, and workforce performance.
• Experience in transportation, logistics, manufacturing, or other operationally intensive industries is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Lead employee relations, labor relations, and HR business partner functions across the Americas.
• Serve as lead negotiator for collective bargaining agreements and complex union matters.
• Develop proactive employee engagement, retention, and workforce strategies.
• Partner with executive and operational leadership on organizational planning and HR initiatives.
• Lead and develop HR teams while driving process improvements and organizational change.
