Job summary

Mace Consult seeks a mid-level construction/commercial lawyer to support the Americas hub. The role works closely with commercial stakeholders, embedding Mace Consult’s governance with autonomy in a dynamic, global setting.

Based in the Americas, with potential hybrid arrangements, you will draft, review, and negotiate key contracts and provide risk-focused advice to project teams. Ideal candidates have 3–7 years’ experience, a legal qualification, fluency in English, and familiarity with

Qualifications

• 3–7 years’ relevant legal experience in construction or commercial law.
• Qualified in-house or private practice construction team or related discipline.
• Experience drafting and negotiating consultancy appointments, LOAs, NDAs, and related docs.
• Knowledge of insurance, public procurement law, and dispute avoidance.
• Fluent business and legal English (spoken and written).
• Spanish language skills preferred.
• Familiarity with FIDIC, NEC forms.

Responsibilities

• Review appointment contracts to identify risks for Mace.
• Negotiate and draft appointment contracts, JV and supply chain agreements.
• Coordinate contracting process with commercial teams through signing.
• Contribute to legal training for commercial colleagues.
• Update precedent documents.
• Assist on potential disputes and insurance notifications.
• Collaborate with insurers and external counsel as needed.
