Job summary

Mace Consult Americas hub seeks a mid-level construction/commercial lawyer to support global projects. Based in the Americas, you will embed governance with London and operate autonomously in a highly commercial environment.

Role involves reviewing contracts, drafting bespoke forms, and advising commercial teams through life-cycle of projects. Fluency in English and Spanish is preferred, with hybrid working options available.

Qualifications

Mid-level construction or general commercial lawyer qualified in a relevant jurisdiction.
3–7 years of relevant legal experience.
Experience with bespoke consultancy appointments and ancillary documents (NDAs, LOAs, PCGs, bonds).
Understanding of insurance, public procurement law and dispute avoidance.
Fluent business and legal English (spoken and written).
Experience with international contracts and data governance is a plus.

Responsibilities

Review appointment contracts and tenders to identify risks for Mace.
Negotiate and draft appointment contracts, JV agreements, and supply-chain contracts.
Coordinate with commercial teams from review to signing and provide ad hoc advice.
Contribute to legal training sessions for commercial colleagues.
Update precedent documents and assist in dispute mitigation with insurance notifications.
Collaborate with insurance brokers and occasionally with external counsel.
