Pentair is seeking a Regional Customs Compliance Specialist to support HTS classification, origin determinations, free trade agreement qualification, and import/export documentation across the Americas. Based at our Golden Valley, MN headquarters, you will join the Global Trade Compliance Team, maintain accurate records, assist audits, train staff, and travel up to 15% to regional sites.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred; equivalent relevant experience will be considered.
• 3+ years of customs or trade compliance experience, ideally supporting U.S. import and export operations.
• Working knowledge of HTS classification, country of origin, customs valuation, FTA qualification, and import/export documentation.

Responsibilities

• HTS Classification & Customs Compliance: classify and document with accuracy across regional sites.
• Country of Origin & Free Trade Agreements: determine origin and maintain records; review supplier declarations.
• Import/Export Operations & Documentation: track and resolve routine customs issues to keep cross-border movements on schedule.
• Duties, Tariffs & Recovery: support calculation, reporting and payment of duties and tariffs.
• Audits, Assessments & Recordkeeping: perform quarterly import/export audits and ensure audit-ready records.
• Training & Cross-Functional Support: provide guidance, draft SOPs, support ERP/SAP and travel up to 15%.
