Job summary

Pentair plc is seeking a Regional Customs Compliance Specialist, Americas based in Golden Valley, MN. You will support HTS classification, origin determinations, FTA qualification, and documentation across the Americas as part of the Global Trade Compliance Team.

Responsibilities include audits, training, and cross-functional support, with travel up to 15%. A bachelor’s degree and 3+ years of related experience are preferred; proficiency in ERP/SAP and Descartes CustomsInfo is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree is preferred; equivalent relevant experience considered.
• 3+ years of relevant customs or trade compliance experience, ideally supporting U.S. import/export operations.
• Working knowledge of HTS classification, country of origin, customs valuation, and documentation.
• Familiarity with U.S. trade remedy tariffs (e.g., 301/232) and export controls awareness.
• Proficiency with MS Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint; ERP/SAP exposure.
• Strong written and verbal English communication.

Responsibilities

• HTS classification and customs compliance support across a regional environment.
• Assist with origin determinations and prepare certificates of origin.
• Track and resolve routine customs issues to keep cross-border movements on schedule.
• Support duties, tariffs calculations, and recovery activities under guidance.
• Perform quarterly import/export audits and ensure audit-ready records.
