Job summary

Humanscale in New Jersey seeks a Customs Compliance Specialist to support and maintain customs and international trade compliance across the North America operation. This role ensures compliance with import/export regulations, HTS classification, and origin data, as well as trade agreement compliance in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities include coordinating with brokers, auditing entries, generating cross-border movement reports, and supporting CTPAT initiatives to ensure continued

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred; Associate’s degree required.
• 1-3 years of experience in data analysis and Customs related functions.
• Knowledge of U.S., Canadian and Mexican customs processes.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with customs broker to resolve questions and provide information at port arrival (HTS, FTA eligibility, valuation, duties).
• Perform daily audits of Customs Entries.
• Compile documentation for drawback claims.
• Create weekly reports on product movement across US, Canada and Mexico.
• Create recurring reports on Customs spend across borders.
• Support the CTPAT committee’s initiatives to ensure compliance.
