Job summary

Renown Health is seeking a Urology Technician to provide clinical, procedural, and administrative support in an ambulatory care setting. You will assist physicians, APPs and RNs, perform rooming, vitals, and prepare patients for visits and procedures.

Responsibilities include back-office duties, preparing specimens, assisting during procedures, catheter placements, wound care, and documenting all patient communications. Strong emphasis on accuracy and adherence to policies.

Qualifications

  • 2 years of clinical health care experience, with at least 1 year as a medical assistant.
  • Must have Nevada Office Laboratory Assistant license or Certified Laboratory Assistant.
  • AHA BLS/CPR certification required at time of hire; ability to obtain CMA/CCMA/CMAC/ CMA/NRCMA/RMA etc certifications at time of hire.
  • Computer skills to access online forms, policies, benefits enrollment, and online learning requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Escort patients from waiting room to exam room and record vitals per guidelines.
  • Prepare lab specimens for processing and complete referral forms and authorizations.
  • Assist physicians, APPs, and RNs during procedures and maintain sterile technique.
  • Document patient communications and maintain accurate medical records.
  • Coordinate scheduling for tests, calls, and in-clinic procedure/medication prior authorizations.
