Qualifications

• High School or GED required or equivalent.
• Certification as Central Sterile Technician (HSPA) or CBSPD.

• Ability to identify hospital surgical equipment and supplies against catalogs.
• Familiarity with a wide range of surgical instruments and equipment.

Responsibilities

• Performs other duties as assigned.
• Follows sterilization procedures and maintains records for biological monitoring.
• Understands Sterrad Sterilization System and proper use of washer decontaminator.
• Handles contaminated instruments and ensures proper preparation of instruments.
• Identifies and prepares surgical instruments for hospital services.
• Manages supply distribution and crash cart restock.
