Job summary

NYU Langone Hospital—Long Island in Manhasset is seeking an Ambulatory Surgery Sterile Processing Associate for the day shift. You will decontaminate, sterilize, and prepare instruments and patient care equipment for the ASC.

The role includes restocking crash carts, exchanging supplies, operating sterilization equipment, and maintaining regulatory documentation to ensure sterility and safety.

Qualifications

• High School or GED required; CS tech certification preferred.
• Certified Central Sterile tech (HSPA) or CBSPD certification required.
• Knowledge of aseptic techniques, sterilization, infection control, and hospital equipment processing.

Responsibilities

• Decontaminate, sterilize, and prepare instruments and patient care equipment for the ASC Manhasset.
• Maintain records of sterilization and biological monitoring for compliance.
• Understand and use Sterrad sterilization system; verify parameters.
• Operate Washer Decontaminator and handle chemical detergents/dilutions.
• Properly identify, handle, and prepare surgical instruments for all hospital services.
• Manage supply distribution and restock crash carts as needed.
