Job summary

Williamson Surgery Center is seeking a Part Time RN for PreOp/PACU to deliver comprehensive nursing care to patients recovering from anesthesia or sedation. You will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care, ensuring safety and privacy throughout the perioperative period.

The role may involve assisting physicians in procedure rooms with conscious sedation and sterile technique, with schedule adjustments based on the surgical flow and day’s needs.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited RN School of Nursing.
• Active RN license in the state.
• BLS and ACLS Required, PALS if required by the center.
• 2 years of experience in PACU or Critical Care preferred.
• Ability to make decisions based on nursing judgment.
• Able to prioritize and organize workload to meet the needs of patients and the unit.
• Strong communication skills, verbal and written.

Responsibilities

• Provide continuity and quality nursing care for all patients emerging from general anesthesia and/or sedation; assess, plan, implement, and evaluate the patient and family in preparation for discharge.
• May assist physicians in procedure rooms with tasks including conscious sedation and sterile techniques as deemed appropriate.
