Job summary

Baylor Scott & White Surgicare – Carrollton is seeking a Registered Nurse in Preop PACU to provide continuity and quality nursing care for patients emerging from anesthesia, ensuring safety, comfort and privacy at all times. The role supports physicians in procedure rooms with conscious sedation and sterile technique, focusing on assessment, planning and discharge readiness.

Weekdays only; no holidays, weekends, nights or calls.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited RN School of Nursing.
• Active RN license in the state.
• BLS and ACLS Required, PALS if required by the center.
• 1 year of experience in PACU or Critical Care preferred.
• Ability to make decisions based on nursing judgment.
• Able to prioritize and organize workload to meet the needs of patients and the unit.
• Strong communication skills, verbal and written.

Responsibilities

• Provide total comprehensive patient care to patients emerging from anesthesia.
