Indiana Ambulatory Surgical Associates is seeking a part-time Pre-Op/PACU Registered Nurse in Indiana, PA to join our ambulatory surgery team. The role focuses on preoperative assessment, perioperative nursing care, and ensuring safe recovery in PACU.

You will administer nursing care per policies, monitor vitals, coordinate with anesthesia, manage preop testing, and provide postoperative instructions. PA licensure, ACLS/PALS, and ongoing education are required; prior OR/ACU experience is

Qualifications

• Graduation from a state approved school of professional nursing.
• Current licensure to practice professional nursing in Pennsylvania.
• ACLS/PALS certification within time specified after employment.
• Continuing education in skills of working area.
• Knowledge of nursing care practices, policies, procedures and techniques.

Responsabilités

• Administers nursing care according to established policies and procedures.
• Demonstrates understanding of operative procedures and postoperative course.
• Monitors preop call process ensuring informed consents, H&P’s, and preop testing are complete.
• Admits patients to preop area and prepares them for surgery.
• Receives patient from surgery and evaluates needs, monitoring vital signs.
