Job summary

Cleveland Clinic is seeking a PRN ASC RN Specialty to provide care for pre- and post-op patients across ambulatory surgical cases in Coral Springs, FL. This role emphasizes assessment, critical thinking, and collaboration with a multidisciplinary team.

The position requires RN licensure, BLS, ACLS within six months, and preferred PALS. 1 year perioperative or critical care RN experience and OR experience as Surgical Technician are noted as requirements.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an approved nursing program (ADN or BSN).
• 1 year of RN perioperative or critical care experience required.
• OR 3 years of Surgical Technician experience.
• Current RN license and BLS; ACLS within 6 months of hire; PALS preferred.

Responsibilities

• Establish courteous relations with patients and ASC users.
• Oversee clinical nursing practice in the ASC.
• Direct other caregivers in providing patient care.
• Assume charge responsibilities and resolve problems.
• Report variances from standard practice to the Nurse Manager.
• Develop health education materials for patients and families.
• Process patients through the ASC.
• Assess personnel skills and resource availability for patient outcomes.
• Participate in ASC goals and cost-containment efforts.
