Job summary

Regional One Health in Memphis, TN is seeking a Registered Nurse to provide professional nursing care in the Ambulatory Surgery Center, following nursing process and standards.

You will assess patients, plan and implement care, document findings, and collaborate with physicians and staff. The role requires TN or compact state RN licensure and BCLS; a 2-year degree is the educational base, with a bachelor’s preferred. This is a full-time day shift position with opportunities for ongoing education.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an approved nursing program; required.
• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing preferred.
• RN licensure in TN or compact state; BCLS required on hire.

Responsibilities

• Provides nursing care according to medical regimens and standards.
• Performs assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of patient care.
• Documents assessments and patient responses; uses electronic records.
• Coordinates referrals and educates patients and families.
• Maintains safety, infection control and applies CPR/BLS as needed.
• Supervises and orientates LPN and new staff; supports performance improvement.
• Transports patients, specimens, and supplies; ensures a safe environment.
